Similar to Midwest Freefall, the Ohio Skydiving Center needed a new marketing direction in light of an increase in competition and severe price undercutting by competitors trying to dominate marketshare. DropZone Marketing was priviliged to work with Chris and Tara Chapman and assist them with a company name change (from Skydive Columbus to the Ohio Skydiving Center), a new logo and website.
We launched the Ohio Skydiving Center website at the end of February, 2014 in less than 30 days from concept to completion. We focused on creating a design that was uniquely different than any of our work to that point utilizing non-traditional colors (inspired by the Super Bowl Champ, Seattle Seahawks) to create a bold and vivid look.
The feedback we've received on this design from many in the skydiving industry has been extremely positive. The color scheme, ease of use, and call to action buttons noticeably placed on the home image have made this project a favorite.
First time was a charm with this logo. This was one of the original concept designs inspired by the Seattle Seahawks winning the Super Bowl in their NFL, best-looking uniforms. We tried more than 30 color combinations with this logo and kept coming back to the original blue and lime green. We're as happy today about this logo as we were when we first released it.
