The one thing that all dropzone operators have in common is a limited amount of time. For husband and wife team, Bryan and Lyn Wolford, they knew they needed to 'modernize' their website both in its design but also make it mobile friendly. They needed someone who understood the business world of skydiving and someone who could take a project and 'run with it.'
Bryan contacted James La Barrie in the winter months of 2016 and the conversation of developing an entirely new branding feel began. The vision was to use bold, vibrant colors to reflect the extreme fun of the sport. Liking the unique geometric angles we had utilized in the Ohio Skydiving Center project years earlier, we created a new website which launched in April of 2016.
Included in this design was the modernization of their logo, again using bolder, stronger colors to reflect a feeling of trust and strength. The pastels of their previous logo were strengthened and the size of the logo modified to fit better on various signs and apparel to be sold in their gear store.
Since their site launch, we have continued our work with Ozarks on SEO development and content creation.
Ozarks Skydive Center Website
The goal with this design project was to showcase the 'fun' with vibrant, but strong colors using photography to 'sell' the product with a powerful hero image. A strong call to action for bookings and gift certificate sales was our #1 focus followed by a clean and professional user experience within mobile.
This site is the most colorful we've ever produced and is exactly the vision the owners had for their branding.
The old Ozarks Skydive Center logo was a nice design, but was in need of an 'upgrade.' Due to its length and use of pastels, it was decided to add a boldness to the design instilling feelings of strength and confidence with a color change and then re-sizing the logo for easier application to merchandise.
