We met Chris Hall in December of 2015. Skydive KC had been well established, but was in need of a digital upgrade as competition within the Kansas City marketplace was beginning increase. The DZ’s website was starting to feel dated which resulted in an increase in bounce rates and a decrease in time spent on the site.
Additionally, analytics started to show a significant increase with mobile search which was a problem as the mobile experience was particularly poor. Because of these issues, Skydive KC’s rankings within Google’s search results page was beginning to slip. The site wasn’t well optimized and was in need of an SEO overhaul for search visibility across a more extensive list of relevant keywords.
Chris’ request to us was for a “clean and simple” design. This is always a common request and a baseline goal for our development team. We restructured the sitemap using behavior flow and site traffic data to prioritize how the site would be laid out. We put emphasis on the mobile experience to make a stronger first impression and allow online bookings to occur with ease.
Our SEO team conducted keyword research for the marketplace and mapped out highly searched keywords across the site re-writing meta-titles, meta-descriptions and optimized page copy. Within weeks of the site’s launch we saw a marked improvement with search rankings and an increase in sales conversions as a result of the increased site traffic.
Since the site’s launch years ago, we have maintained a strong relationship with Chris and Skydive KC overseeing the execution of their pay per click advertising strategy.
