When your client is accustomed to precision in their product, we knew they would require the same standards with their website design! We were up for the challenge as we were honored to be called upon by the legendary Helmut Cloth – an International Skydiving Museum and Hall of Fame member.
Our challenge for CYPRES’ new web design was to utilize the pink (the color synonymous with CYPRES) into a well laid out design with a focus on:
The timing of the design rollout was concurrent with the release of CYPRES’s newest AAD, the WSC.
While the CYPRES is one product, there are multiple variations of the product that needed to be displayed both in the menu and visually. It was also important to quickly send the message that CYPRES has been instrumental in saving thousands of lives.
Just below the fold, users will quickly see menu items in blocks that tell a story and help with visual navigation based on user behaviors – number of lives saved, products and easily locating a dealer.
One of our design focuses is to utilize text for the purposes of SEO, but we recognize that most people don’t read – for a strong user experience, we like to highlight important areas visually.
CYPRES (Airtec) is a high-tech company, but we felt it was important to show the humanity behind the brand. Founder, Helmut Cloth is a relatively quiet and private person, but we felt it was important to tell his story in order to connect with skydivers interested in purchasing an AAD. We wanted to ensure that the end user understood that the inventor was a fellow skydiver who developed this product, not with profitability in mind but to save lives – which is the truth being that Freddy Leising (Helmut’s close friend) was killed on a skydive.
We were honored to work with the CYPRES team and be part of this project which launched in February of 2017.
