When DropZone Marketing launched in 2013, one of our very first skydiving projects was with Skydive Coastal Carolinas. As a fledgling company, we were fortunate to gain the trust of DZO Brian Strong to develop their unique and colorful logo and website. At the beginning of 2021, Strong and his son, Blake gave us the call: It was time for an update!
If you’ve ever jumped at Skydive Coastal Carolinas, you would have noticed the vibrant paint schemes on their three aircraft. The Strong’s wanted that vibrance to be showcased on their website. We were game!
Aside from bringing the fun, Skydive Coastal Carolinas wanted us to:
As a brand, Skydive Coastal Carolinas is on the upswing. Following the acquisition of its King Air, the DZ has been hosting more events and fun jumpers have been raving about the spectacular views and chill vibes. Knowing this, we wanted to push out some major “wow” factor for the first time tandem or experienced jumper.
We think we got it right as many of our clients have asked for a design “like the SCC website!” The high-resolution video provided by the client helped enhance this and our development of a robust color palette makes for a strong first impression.
Skydive Coastal Carolinas has used Burble, but wasn’t using it to its full capabilities particularly with their GC Store.
Fortunately, we have a resident Burble expert on our team (Laura Jane Happick) who was able to help SCC maximize their use of the software and move away from PayPal as their system for gift certificates.
Having visited Skydive Coastal Carolinas and worked with the Strong’s through the years, this project was personal to our team. We wanted to exceed the expectations of SCC’s DZOs and we’re happy to report that we were able to do so.
If you’ve not yet discovered Skydive Coastal Carolinas – head out to Southport, NC! You won’t be disappointed!
