The LA area is one of the most saturated skydiving markets in all of North America. Competition is fierce.
As one of the largest and most innovative skydiving centers in the world, Skydive Perris has all of the elements to stand out from the crowd. They just needed help telling their story … which is why they called on DropZone Marketing when they were ready for a new website.
DropZone Marketing has a longstanding relationship with Skydive Perris. For years, we have managed their Google Ads, SEO, and content marketing campaigns. We were delighted at the opportunity to tackle their unique design challenge, and honored to have the partnership and trust of the Conatsers, Dan BC, and many of the Skydive Perris team members.
There are five distinct divisions of the Skydive Perris brand:
Skydive Perris is big and they offer so, so much. Our challenge was to bring clarity.
For the end user to understand everything on offer at Skydive Perris without feeling overwhelmed, we had to enable seamless navigation, simplify the message, and implement clear calls to action.
The mega menu structure plays a major role in guiding the user’s exploration of the site:
Featured sections on the homepage, like Experiences and Featured Adventures, help the user see what’s available and feel confident in their purchasing decisions.
People assume that you’re “just a number” at a big dropzone. That’s not at all the case at Skydive Perris. To feel the Perris difference, we needed to showcase the Perris story. We achieved this with:
Along the way, we learned that Skydive Perris is so committed to excellence that they take for granted just how excellent they are!
For example, Skydive Perris is Hollywood’s choice for skydiving. The roster of celebrities they have hosted for professional and personal skydiving experiences is a mile long! That says a great deal about their standards and services – that kind of credibility absolutely belongs on the homepage!
Another example is The Bombshelter. The dropzone’s restaurant and bar is open to all for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and overlooks the pool and landing area. Incredible! The public has always been able to enjoy these amenities, but do they know they’re invited? We created a dedicated menu for the Bombshelter so that non-skydiving locals know Skydive Perris is for them, too.
By looking at every aspect of operations through this lens of curiosity and empathy, we were able to tell the Perris story with new energy and intent.
After more than 500 hours of project management, graphic design, coding, copywriting, and search engine optimization, we were proud to launch the new Skydive Perris website in December 2023.
The final product is clean and fresh, easy to navigate, fully optimized for Google search, integrated with their sales software, and highly performant. It fulfills every criteria set forth by the Skydive Perris team, and they are thrilled with their new website.
